“Why, yes, I sew. But I don’t do alterations.” “Okay, but could you just….”
…move the patch and pocket to the other side. Easy right?”
Easy-ish I suppose, but I really don’t like messing with a finished garment – don’t even like doing to garments I’ve made myself. I just don’t like doing it. However, exceptions must be made for special people right?
This vest was gifted to a young skeet target shooter who is right-handed. I made a few adjustments as requested and added a new pocket and name tag. The vest was an easy, sturdy fabric to work with and I happened to have a perfect matching thread – really!
About a year ago, I had purchased a metre of this great “dog” print fabric. I wanted to make something special with it, but haven’t found the right project yet. I borrowed a little piece it to make the pocket since the colours just begged to be put together and the new owner is a dog fan.
Rather enjoyed this mini-project, but don’t tell anyone.
